Hochschule (University College of Teacher Training) situated in Klagenfurt, Carinthia (Austria).
The University College of Teacher Training offers three kinds of studies. Our students can specialize to become teachers for primary or secondary school but also teachers for children with special needs.
The University College of Teacher Training is based on Viktor Frankl's Logotherapy "A Man's Search for Meaning". We implement his ideas in our teaching. The main focus of all our work is the human being with all her/his needs covering the physical, psychological, spiritual and social dimensions.
The emphasis of our University College of Teacher Training focuses on acquiring theoretical knowledge based on the latest research concerning education and pedagogy. The heart of education and teacher training at our institution is school-practice. Two schools - one primary and one secondary school - are important parts of our University College of Teacher Training and situated in the same building. In addition, students can make their practical training in different schools of our region and the Office for International Affairs encourages them to enhance their teaching competence also abroad.
